Equine (Horse)-Assisted Therapy and Learning

Dr. Bodden is a certified Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Learning (EAL) facilitator by the Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA).  In EAP and EAL, she works with another team member to develop activities for you to work through with the horses to help you learn about yourself and build skills in the process.  EAP and EAL are powerful as you learn from the experience with the horses rather than just through discussion or lecture as with other therapies and trainings.  There is a growing evidence-base for EAP and EAL for areas such as:

  • Group Dynamics
  • Effective Communication/Assertiveess
  • Self-Esteem
  • Identity Development
  • Relationship Building
  • Problem-Solving
  • Group Problem-Solving
  • Team-Building

Horse-Powered Life Skills is now being offered for teenagers in the community on the last Saturday of every month.

Private or custom workshops are also offered with additional services available for  corporate workshops, team-building activities or retreats. Please contact myself or Ms. Shanna Pandohie for more information or to schedule.

EAP and EAL Sessions are delivered at Cowboy Town Stables in Savannah, Grand Cayman with Ms. Shanna Pandohie.

**All activities are done on the ground. No riding is involved. No horse or riding experience is necessary.
